Summary:
While this global story of decay and rebirth [of traditional and classical-style architecture] has played out throughout a number of cities across the West, Dallas has been at the forefront. Through its unique combination of relative newness, an influx of new money from the 1970s to the early 2000s and relatively relaxed planning, preservation and zoning laws, architects such as Boerder have led the way in relearning the old forms and resurrecting the revival tradition that the city was originally built upon. Boerder's critical success in tandem with a legacy of having designed nearly 400 new homes and renovations shows that in Dallas, traditional design has not only returned, it has blossomed. -- From page 5.
