- Summary:
- In the last 30 years, in a context of climate change and resources crisis, urban reuse has played a relevant role in urban regeneration processes. Reuse represents a key challenge in the management of a more livable and inclusive city. In particular, the regeneration of spaces highlights interesting findings in terms of social innovation and promotion of environmental, economic and social opportunities for urban actors within public spaces.0This volume proposes an overview on the concept of urban reuse throughout the presentation of significant case studies in Europe with the aim to discuss significant factors that contribute both to the redefinition of functions in the contemporary cities and to the introduction of innovative governance and urban planning practices.
