- Summary:
- A collection of brief quotations from Robinson Jeffers, Emily Dickinson, Normal Douglas, Albert Einstein, Walt Whitman, Alfred Young Fisher, William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, Douglas MacArthur, Thornton Wilder, T.S. Eliot, George Bernard Shaw, Jenny Read, Lawrence Clark Powell, Pablo Picasso, Elinor Wylie, and William Addison Dwiggins, which are printed beneath full-page abstract multicolor compositions of squares and rectangles. Bound by Joseph D'Ambrosio in linen-backed yellow boards which form a clamshell, sculpture-like box for the pages of the book and repeat Ritchie's designs.

- Consists of color illustrations with quotations as captions.
- "Fifty copies were printed on an Albion hand press"--Colophon. At end of colophon, original printed "wr no. [29]", written over in ink with "xxx", in all known copies.

- Papermaker identified from Watermark as Barcham Green, 1986.
