Map, colour lithograph first drawn by Edward Weller for the Weekly Dispatch newspaper, 1856-62, this edition published by G W Bacon and Co.(?) London in the 1880s. Scale: about 3.5 miles to 1 inch. This sheet shows the south part of Cumberland, all of Westmorland, and Lancashire north of the sands; it is a map of the Lakes; railways are a prominent feature. Versions of this map were published from the 1850s to 1930s.
