Map, hand coloured engraving, by Thomas Moule, published by George Virtue, Ivy Lane, Paternoster Row, London, 1836. Scale: about 5 miles to 1 inch. Included in Moule's English Counties or The English Counties Delineated. The coats of arms are of Appleby, Kendal; the Earl of Lonsdale; and an unidentified arms. Vignette scenes show Brougham Hall and the keep of Appleby Castle. The railway from Lancaster to Carlisle is shown, with a branch line to Windermere; from the way it is engraved this could be an addition to the map.
