Fasziniert von den Alpen verbringen die beiden Autoren einen Großteil ihrer Freizeit in den Bergen. Bei der Suche nach immer wieder neuen und besonderen Orten - sei es als Zwischenstopp oder auch um anzukommen und Ruhe zu finden - haben sie inzwischen eine Vielzahl an Unterkünften zusammengetragen. Von Häusern, die seit Generationen im Familienbesitz sind und von den unterschiedlichen Charakteren geprägt wurden über modern sanierte Chalets bis zur einsamen Hütte reicht das Portfolio der vorgestellten Bauten. Der Umgebung gerecht werdende Materialien und nachhaltige Bauweisen beeinflussen die Auswahl der Projekte dabei ebenso wie das gelungene räumliche und atmosphärische Konzept.
