- Die US-amerikanische evangelikale Populärkultur der Gegenwart macht Mädchen und Frauen vielfach verlockende Konsum- und Identitätsangebote. Am Beispiel von Keuschheitskultur, christlicher chick und sistah lit, Ratgebern für »gottgefällige« Selbstoptimierung und Aufrufen zum politischen Aktivismus zeigt Monika Sauter: Am Schnittpunkt von Religion, Konsum und Kapitalismus, hegemonialer Familienideologie, konservativer Politik und zivilreligiösem Patriotismus erweisen sich die Affektökonomien der Konstruktionen von Weiblichkeit als kulturell sehr wirkmächtig.
