In dem Band steht die Keramik der östlichen Marmarica von ptolemäischer bis spätrömischer Zeit im Fokus. Ausgehend von den zahlreichen Keramikwerkstätten, die trotz ihrer Lage in dem ökologisch und ökonomisch marginalen Raum, viele Gefäße produzierten, werden die Funde aus Survey und Grabung typologisch erfasst, importierte Ware bestimmt und wirtschaftshistorisch in den Kontext des östlichen Mittelmeerraumes und Nordafrikas eingeordnet.

This book focuses on the ceramics of eastern Marmarica, from the Ptolemaic to the Late Roman period. It examines the numerous ceramics workshops that, despite their location in the ecologically and economically marginal region, produced many vessels, before going on to typologically describe findings from surveys and digs and then determining and classifying imported goods in the context of Eastern Mediterranean and North African economic history.
