The critical edition presents around 230 typescripts and manuscripts documenting Theodor W. Adorno's last known work on Chapter III of the ultimately unfinished Aesthetic Theory. The sheets contain, among other things, the text material for the chapter "Toward a Theory of the Artwork." The edition makes these texts accessible to a wider audience for the first time in the form of facsimiles as well as precise diplomatic transcriptions.
