Summary:

This program reviews the range of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. There is a focus on how the ICD and DSM code these disorders. The five broad categories of psychosis are discussed: delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech, abnormal behavior and negative symptoms. Schizophrenia as a spectrum is highlighted with a focus on fundamental characteristics and specific specifiers.
