- This program provides an overview of sleep disorders and ties them to the DSM and ICD coding systems. A detailed discussion of insomnia is presented, including nonorganic insomnia and nonorganic hypersomnia. Next, narcolepsy is presented. This is followed by an overview of sleep disorders and breathing. Disorders related to the sleep-wake schedule is reviewed. Other specific sleep disorders are discussed including sleepwalking, sleep terrors, nightmares, REM sleep disorder and restless legs syndrome. The program concludes with a view of sleep disorders caused by a substance or medication.
