Summary:
Spinal disorders are very common, and various imaging techniques such as X-ray, CT, and MRI play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders. Due to the rapid increase in the elderly population and the corresponding increase in degenerative spinal disorders, there is a growing demand and emphasis on spinal imaging diagnosis. In most comprehensive hospitals, the interpretation of spinal imaging is independently performed in the fields of musculoskeletal radiology and neuroradiology, resulting in inefficient imaging diagnosis and unsatisfactory education. In order to alleviate such inefficiency, this book covers musculoskeletal structures such as the vertebral body, intervertebral disc, as well as neural structures such as the spinal cord. This book was written chiefly by radiologists with extensive experience in various conditions related to the anatomy of the spine and MR artifacts. To aid readers' understanding, various diagrams and numerous case studies have been included, and important points are summarized again at the end of each topic. In the final chapter, the book covers the procedural methods, post-procedure management, and precautions for spinal interventions performed for the purpose of treating pain caused by spinal disorders. I believe this book will serve as a valuable reference not only for radiologists but also for clinicians in orthopedics, neurosurgery, rehabilitation medicine, and other medical fields involved in the management of spinal disorders. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence. A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content. .
