- Summary:
- In this session, Jeffrey K. Zeig works with a 30-year-old White woman who experiences difficulties with impulsive spending and overeating. Jeffrey K. Zeig uses Ericksonian psychotherapy and hypnosis to help the client explore different aspects of herself and her resources. He takes an active approach that combines methods from different perspectives to engage the client. This session demonstrates multiple techniques, including metaphors, story-telling, experiential techniques, and hypnosis. The two-chair technique is used as a method of parts work to bring conflicting aspects of the client's self into dialogue with one another. This session also has an extended example of hypnosis using fantasy and guided imagery
