- Applying an accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy approach, Dr. Karen Kranz works with a young adult Middle Eastern woman who is experiencing family-of-origin and life transition distress. Content around familial conflict, role and cultural expectations, and relationships are discussed. Using a series immediacy, emotional focusing, silence, and here-and-now interventions, Kranz guides the Client in deepening their experiences of their emotions, highlighting the physical sensations and drawing meaning of the client's affective states. At the end of session, the two share with one another their respective experiences of working together in session
