- Summary:
- Dr. Susan H. McDaniel works with a young couple struggling to create a loving environment for themselves and their young son. Their goals for therapy include improving their communication skills through respect and patience, learning to be open about their feelings, and learning to compromise. Dr. McDaniel invites each to talk with her alone in this session. Cedric indicates that it is his goal to give Keisha the wedding she wants and to create a loving family. Keisha is not certain that they can last in a long-term relationship, but wants to learn to use the tools Dr. McDaniel will be teaching. The homework assignment is to make a list of small things and large things to talk about next time. Also, each is to do something surprisingly nice for the other
