- Summary:
- The client, a 19 year-old young woman, is preparing to leave junior college to attend university. This transition will require her to leave home for the first time and to be separated from her boyfriend. She has long wanted to become a high school art teacher and has experienced new challenges and growth as she made the transition from high school art classes to junior college classes. Dr. Stanley B. Messer and the client explored her perfectionism and related anxiety as she has been asked to compete in shows and learn to talk about her art. The client describes a dream about being pregnant, so she and Dr. Messer examine her feelings about leaving her boyfriend for school and her desire to have a family
