- Summary:
- Dr. David J. Cain continues therapy with a woman who is looking for coping skills to deal with her husband's personality changes and impending divorce. She continues to feel anger toward her husband for shirking on his duties and vows. After an incident involving her youngest child and an allergy scare ignored by her husband, she is worried for their welfare when they visit with him. Dr. Cain discusses with her how her child reacted, and reminds her that her children are very adept at seeking help when they are in a threatening situation. They discuss continuing to inform her children of their options regarding where to go and what to do if they need help and she is not available. Dr. Cain tries to calm her fears by showing her how well-prepared they all are in that situation. She discusses that she is angry that her son would have to worry about such things, and Dr. Cain encourages her to allow herself to feel angry, but also to reach out to her support network and not disengage from help. He encourages her to focus more on moving on with her life and the future ahead of her
