Summary:
Dr. David J. Cain continues therapy with a client who wishes to learn better how to cope with those around him who are under stress. They discuss his family and that he was taught from a young age not to express his emotions. The client talks about the fact that he is having a hard time adjusting to the concept of "we" in couple hood. He also discusses his reluctance to show his emotions unless he can no longer control it, then the catharsis is cleansing and makes him feel better. He talks to Dr. Cain about the fact that his partner's family are very expressive, quick to emote but then change just as quickly. He discusses the idea that it is the public display of a deep emotion that bothers him about the commitment ceremony. Dr. Cain continues to encourage the client to allow himself to feel his feelings as they occur
