- Summary:
- Dr. Robert A. Neimeyer concludes therapy with a woman in her 40's whose father has recently died. She is having problems with depression, anxiety, and feeling overwhelmed by her grief. Dr. Neimeyer checks with her to see if her situation has changed over the past week, and it has gotten a bit better, and it has definitely eased since therapy began. She is noticing her periods of profound grief diminishing, and though it is still work to have sustained fun or good times, they are coming more readily. Dr. Neimeyer encourages her to continue to write about her feelings and to write about how to celebrate his life. Bobbie was also discussing her realization that everyone else is dealing with their grief too, even if it is in different ways. They discuss what she found most helpful about therapy, and how to continue to heal
