- Summary:
- Dr. Jon Carlson continues therapy with a middle aged woman who wants to learn better coping skills for dealing with stress. Since the last session, she has started walking every morning and has continued to take time for herself when she can. Her daughter is improving, but will never be exactly the same, which is hard for her to accept and deal with. Dr. Carlson points out just how far the daughter has come and how well she has handled the situation up to now. They discuss how the client is beginning to take control of her situation and realizes that she can schedule tasks instead of doing them right away or on someone else's schedule. She is having problems with procrastination related to dealing with care for her own illness. They discuss that she should remain focused on the positive changes she has made and that she has control over much of her life. They also discuss her continuing to make time for herself and focus on her love for life
