- Summary:
- A newly married female client in recovery for substance abuse continues with her discussion with Dr. G. Alan Marlatt. The client is cross-addicted to alcohol and drugs, and although her last replapse involved pills and she is still concerned about using Vicodin, this session focuses more on her continuing struggle with tobacco smoking. Marlatt checks in with the client in this session, and they discuss her use of the "urge surfing" meditation exercise since their previous session as well as various other strategies she could use to quit smoking, including keeping a diary of her thoughts, behaviors, and context surrounding instances of smoking
