Summary:
The client begins this second session with Dr. G. Alan Marlatt talking about meeting the recipients of his daughter's organs; the client's daughter died several years ago in an accident, while the client was in early recovery. The client reports that he doesn't do "Twelfth Step work" as a member of Alcoholics Anonymous because of possible triggers and stress. The client also reports that he's thinking a lot about mortality--about his daughter and his still-living mother--as the holidays approach; this is the first holiday season the client will go through without his daughter. The client reports that he has joined another support group for those grieving the loss of a loved one
