Summary:
In this first of four sessions, Dr. Diana Fosha works with a young adult White heterosexual man who is experiencing existential and relational distress. Dr. Fosha applies an accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy approach and uses series immediacy, emotional focusing, silence, observational feedback, and here-and-now techniques to guide the client in deepening the experiences of his emotions, highlighting the physical sensations and drawing meaning to his affective states. Throughout the session, the two uncover the Patient's experiences of isolation, guilt, sadness, and worthlessness. At the end of session, the two share their respective experiences of working together
