Summary:
Ruperto M. Perez interviews a recently retired bisexual male professor who describes himself as happily married for over 40 years to the same woman. The therapist and client discuss how the client and his wife have been able to make their relationship work, and how they will adjust to the new transition of his wife's upcoming retirement. The client describes the history of his long and close relationship with his wife, his relationships with other men, he and his wife's communication strategies, and how they have established appropriate boundaries. The client has some minor concerns about how he and his wife will adjust to retirement, given that they will have more time to spend together. He and the therapist strategize and discuss how retirement can be made a fulfilling period in their life together
