Douglas K. Snyder works with a young couple who have recently married and are having problems dealing with conflict. He asks each to describe the same upsetting incident and accompanying feelings. Snyder helps the man see how his reaction to his partner relate to verbal abuse from his father and to the grief he experienced as an adolescent when his father passed away.
