- Summary:
- The client, a 47 year-old male, is seeking to improve his life choices and fulfill his potential as a musician and composer. He is strongly aware that time is passing, and he wants to succeed professionally. He also wants to stop repeating the same relationship mistakes he's made in the past. This session starts with a discussion of the client's recent job interview that promises new financial security for him and his family. Then the focus shifts to Dr. Jeremy D. Safran's intention to move the therapy along more quickly than usual in the interest of identifying themes the client can explore in detail at a later time. Dr. Safran pointed out the client's articulate expression, noting that the essence of what the client is trying to communicate often gets buried in all the words. Dr. Safran also pointed out that the client seems to expend a great deal of effort to make relationships work, emphasizing the positive so strongly that no negativity is allowed expression
