- Summary:
- "The "fruit bowls" referred to in the title of this peculiar book are actually sculptures made of pipes and plaster adorned with everything from blueberries to rather large melons. The precarious postures of these partially edible assemblages are laid out next to video stills of hockey fights, drawing an unlikely but irrefutable visual parallel between the two. Seen in this context, the fruit bowls actually seems to be frozen moments of combat on the ice. For the record, Canadian artists Chris Hanson and Hendrika Sonnenberg are both hockey players."-- provided by distributor.
