- "An Island Giving Birth to Islands Minia Biabiany is a visual artist based in Mexico city and Guadeloupe. Her work proceeds from an investigation on the perception of space to the paradigms of weaving and opacity in storytelling and language. In her practice she deconstructs narratives linked with colonial presence and heritages in the Guadeloupean territory.
