- Summary:
- Like the beautiful handwoven blankets made in Mexican villages, the Mexican people are a blend of Spanish and Indian characteristics. They are known for being friendly, generous, and loving. In the cities, it is common to see men and women walking with their arms locked and embracing one another as they meet. Even when relatively unfamiliar people get together, men and women often kiss one another on the cheek. Families - the larger, the better - are the center of most Mexicans' social lives, and it is still common for several members of an extended family to live together. Learn more about local values and how Mexicans see one another as well as foreigners.
