- Summary:
- Singapore's legal system is modeled after the British system. Although certain rules may favor indigenous people of the country, most laws and regulations apply to everyone. Similar to the system in Britain, there are several levels of courts, including magistrate's courts, district courts, family courts, and the so-called High Court and Court of Appeals, or Supreme Court. Learn more about why Singapore is sometimes humorously referred to as a Fine City.
