"This edition of Milton's Poetry is a reprint, as careful as Editor and Printers have been able to make it, from the earliest printed copies of the several poems. First the 1645 volume of the 'Minor Poems' has been printed entire; then follow in order the poems added in the reissue of 1673; the 'Paradise Lost,' from the edition of 1667; and the 'Paradise Regain'd' and 'Samson Agonistes from the edition of 1671."--Preface.

PR3550.F13 Milton Collection copy presented to the Penn Libraries by Joseph A. Wittreich in honor of Stuart A. Curran, 2021 has green leatherette boards with a decorative gilt border along the edges and a spine of 6 panels elaborately decorated in gilt with second in red with title and author. Green and white marbled endpapers with top edge gilt stained. This copy has the autograph of "Edward Vulliamy London 1970" a former reporter for The Guardian and The Observer (information from post-it). Front free endpaper is inscribed "To Joan Baez in gratitude for the first music I loved, for Isle of Wight '70; Chicago '71 ... and the music I've loved best ever since. Edward Vulliamy London 1988". Newspaper advertisement for movie theaters in Santa Clara County has post-it "Joan Baez graduated from Palo Alto High School in 1958. Lived in Woodside" attached. Advertisement for Joan Baez concert laid in. Invoice/Packing Slip from My Book Heaven laid in.
