Neste primeiro volume de "Memória do cinema documentário brasileiro: histórias de vida", foram selecionadas 14 entrevistas com documentaristas brasileiros de um total de 22, realizadas desde o início do projeto, em 2012, iniciativa do Núcleo de Audiovisual e Documentário do Centro de Pesquisa e Documentação em História Contemporânea do Brasil, da Fundação Getúlio Vargas (CPDOC-FGV). Nesta obra, a história oral se entrelaça às memórias de cineastas para revelar seus percursos. As entrevistas compõem um panorama vívido da criação cinematográfica documental, produzindo um testemunho sobre o impacto e a persistência do documentário como forma de resistência e reflexão.
In this first volume of 'Memory of Brazilian Documentary Cinema: Life Stories,' 14 interviews with Brazilian documentary filmmakers were selected from a total of 22, conducted since the beginning of the project in 2012, an initiative of the Audiovisual and Documentary Center of the Research and Documentation Center in Contemporary History of Brazil, of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (CPDOC-FGV). In this work, oral history intertwines with filmmakers' memories to reveal their journeys. The interviews provide a vivid panorama of documentary filmmaking, offering testimony on the impact and persistence of the documentary as a form of resistance and reflection.
