Summary:
"LITTLE CRIPPLES' DAY. The Lord Mayor superintends the dispatch of hampers from the Guildhall, addressed to cripples who are unable to attend the children's banquet." [flashed title] MLS (snowy/scratched image) of the Guildhall entrance, busy with top-hatted men and on-lookers. A horse-drawn 'London Parcels Delivery Company' carriage arrives. In foreground, top-hatted, man hands the driver a large envelope and looks to the camera. MS of the same action, repeated twice from a different angle, with the arrival of more carriages and again from the first camera position. MS of five formally dressed men, some in top-hats, some with regalia, standing behind a food hamper which has been placed on top of a small table. A poorly framed and over-exposed CU of the parcel. Written upon it can just be discerned: 'Crippled Children's Hamper - Sir W Treloars Fund'. Also, barely readable, is 'Sliced Ox Tongue' on one of the packets.
