Summary:
"Miracles have been performed by the French in the lightning laying of the roads on which they follow up their advances". French troops pull small railway trucks containing rocks on rail track up slope. Rocks tipped below. Rocks then taken away in carts pulled by horses and oxen. Film supplied by Annales de la Guerre (54ft). Next title 'France's blow in Italy. After a whirlwind assualt on Mount Tomba, the French teach the Austrains they can only invade Italy as prisoners.' Scenes of Austrain shoulders being marched along roads, guarded by French soldiers with local onlookers watching them pass through. A panning shot of prisoners in a line, some with bandages. Next title 'General Snow takes Command. Adrfit in a drift. Snow-balling is an excellent substitute for bomb throwing practice in wintry Flanders.' Shot of a car stuck in a snow drift, driver comes out to try move snow away from front of car. Cut to scene of soldiers having a snowball fight in a field close to a settlement.
