Main title. "Sir Francis Bertie and General Gallieni at the inauguration of the new Scotch Hospital. The celebrated band of the Grenadier Guards furnished the music for the fucntion" (1). HAS pan right of the Grenadier Guards band playing in a courtyard of the hospital (10). Ground view of same. Flowers are presented to the conductor (20). MS two gentleman one with top hat (28). A doctor leads General Joseph Galliéni and another man (as previously seen in MS, and presumably Sir Francis Bertie) down a path along the hospital building.
