Place of Publication:
[Great Britain] : Topical Film Company, 1921.
Summary:
Crown Prince of Japan As Britain's Guest' Crown Prince Hirohito at Aldershot.
Notes:
Issue number: 507-1 ; Story number within issue: 3 of 3
Note: The issue book gives only CROWN PRINCE OF JAPAN VISITS ENGLAND (120ft) on Hirohito's visit, with a length of 54ft. The existing film copy is 120ft. However the book also gives four further items on the visit as being 'held'. The first three exist as separate film copies. The fourth may have gone to make up part of the issued item, which would explain the discrepancy in length. The existence of the extra items with titles may mean that they were issued at sometime, or that a 'special' on the visit was being planned. A further problem arises in that the events given below all took place after the issue date of 12th May: CROWN PRINCE OF JAPAN AS BRITAIN'S GUEST Crown Prince Hirohito at Aldershot. Filmed by Hutchins (102ft). CROWN PRINCE OF JAPAN AT CHEQUERS Crown Prince Hirohito visits Chequers. Filmed by Hutchins (52ft). CROWN PRINCE OF JAPAN ON THAMES' Crown Prince Hirohito attends a Thames pageant. Filmed by Heath (56ft). (CROWN PRINCE OF RIVER)(?) Filmed by Hutchins.
Series: Topical Budget.
With intertitles.
