Summary:
"THE GERMAN ATHENAEUM LTD. are invoking the aid of the English Law to forcibly eject the Services Club, and as a protest against such action by a Company so constituted, any attempt at entering these premises of The German Anathaeum Ltd. will be resisted." (2 frames). Very large notice hanging from the building in Stratford Place which includes the intertitle and a list of the Germans who were board members of the company. A number of onlookers read the notice. An officer enters the club ducking his head to avoid the notice. The notice is raised into a higher position. To the left of the doorway is a makeshift podium (19). A number of speakers, from the podium, address a crowd gathered in the street (42). MS Mr Charles Palmer addressing the crowd from the podium. His name is chalked on a blackboard in front of the podium which describes him as former editor of The Globe newspaper.
