"Epsom the "Mecca"." Motor cars and pedestrians at the approach to Epsom being directed by mounted traffic police. Crowds entering the racecourse. A horse-drawn charabanc. An open-top double decker motor bus leading a procession of motor cars. View down at crowd. Aerial views of the course and crowds. "Many drank deeply at the Well of Prophecy - Alas!" People walking past a small wooden well-shaped structure proclaiming the horse "Birthright" to be placed. A man buying a lucky charm at the well. "From the ashes of the past emerges a structure worthy of old associations." Views of the new grandstand. "His Majesty arrives to share with his people the thrills of The World's greatest race." The Royal's cars arriving; King George V, Queen Mary, the Prince of Wales and others being greeted by officials. Crowds standing on the roofs of their vehicles. Close-up of a Black man in feathered regalia conversing the crowd with racing tips. "I gotta 'norse!". The man shouting at the crowd. View down at the horses walking up the course and riding to the start. "Messrs. George F. Allison and Geoffrey Gilbey who broadcasts a description of The Race to the World."
