A uniformed officer climbs on to the raised area where the speech will take place in Trafalgar Square; he reaches down to offer his hand to assist Olga Nethersole to climb the steps. Other officers are standing on the raised area watched by the crowd. Olga Nethersole wears a semi-transparent scarf across her face and carries some papers. A gramophone player with a large horn is by her side (20). Olga Nethersole, with scarf taken from her face, addressing the crowds; senior officers stand behind her (31). HAS crowds - some of the men wear uniforms; pan right to Olga Nethersole continuing her address (52ft).
