"The terrors of the Russian winter is greatly feared by the Central Powers. Russian transports moving with difficulty over the snow covered roads." (1). Two horse-drawn wagons pass through a snow-covered village. Around six Russian soldiers wander behind the wagons. The wagons seen from another angle, to the right is a bomb-damaged building (28). Pan right of snow-covered ruins of a village - no people present. The ruins consist only of a few thick walls, no roofs or upper parts of walls can be seen (57ft).
