A female diver does a back somersault from the diving board into the water; another does a forward roll on the platform and then dives; another jumps in. The adjudicator stands on the diving board. A large hotel (St Nicholas Hotel?) on top of the cliff in the mid-distance. The start of the 440 yds race. Six men dive in from the edge of the pool and race; the race continued from another angle; the swimmers turning at the end of the pool; MLS the winner reaching the end. Two men in their swimming costumes, one of them the winner Jack Hatfield from Middlesbrough, and a coach pose for camera by the side of the pool.
