Summary:
Main title. "Members of Senate vote her degrees, but refuse her Membership of University." (9) The Movement pressing for women students to have a limited membership of Cambridge University defeated by 908 votes to 694. Academics (in gowns and caps) milling about outside building; they enter the building via wooden steps (20). "Before the result was known Undergrads held a mock funeral to celebrate the decease of the last male member of the University!" (29) Along a crowd-lined street, male undergraduates in fancy dress (many dressed as women) parade along the street. A number of banners are visible - "Look at us don't we deserve degrees" and " Now you have seen us give us our degrees". Undergraduates pull a large cart preceded by students dressed as children (55ft).
