THE CHARGE. "Inspiring spectacle of French Cavalry at the gallop." Trumpeters on horseback in street. Cavalry riding down street. Lined up in a field and galloping past. AN INFERNO OF FLAMES. "Most spectacular fire of recent years wipes out the town of Redding on the Pacific Coast." Various shots of building on fire, with fire hoses and spectators. Part of building collapses, and then another part. KING AND QUEEN AT READING. "Their Majesties inspect Sutton’s war seeds and Huntley and Palmer’s war biscuits." Close shot of King George V watching women packers. Queen Mary being shown part of process [unclear whether seeds or biscuits], followed by the King. KING AND A HERO'S CHILD. "His Majesty shakes hands with little Master Beasley after presenting his mother with his fallen father’s medal." King George V and Queen Mary walk past nurses. Talking to an injured [?] soldier. King awards medal to one-armed soldier, then widow and young boy. Boy shakes hands keenly with the king, then does so again, and then with the Queen. THE CHINAMAN'S NEW YEAR.
