- PR3551.V35 1896 Milton Collection copy presented to the Penn Libraries by Joseph A. Wittreich in honor of Stuart A. Curran, 2021 has bookplate of "O. L. Richmond" and inscription "Oliffe Richmond from his tutor July 30 '96". Oliffe Leigh Richmond (1881-1977) would grow up to become a poet and classical scholar. The copy has leather bound boards with protective cover ruled in blind on front and back covers. The spine is lettered and decorated in gilt with 5 edges and has "Milton" stamped in gilt near top and "Fore-edge painting" at bottom; all edges are gilt stained. The erotic fore-edge painting is of a naked couple copulating. Two catalogue descriptions are laid in.
