Career Girl Romances was published by Charlton Comics in the US between 1964 and 1973. Aimed at older teenage girls and young women. Packed with colourful comic strips, stories centred around young women with big dreams, embarking upon careers but ultimately relinquishing them and opting for marriage instead. Through these themes, the importance of family values and traditional gender roles is repeatedly reinforced
