Milton Collection copy PR3560 1817b presented to the Penn Libraries in 2021 by Joseph A. Wittreich in honor of Stuart A. Curran. Dated 19th-century manuscript inscription ("The Gift of Ensign Abbott Late of the 4th or Kings own Regt to Lt. Col Espinasse Deal Barracks 4th of Feby 1803") recording the gift of this volume from Samuel Abbott to Henry William Espinasse (approximately 1760-1845) on front free endpaper. Autograph ("John Dougherty") on back pastedown and dated 19th-century manuscript ownership inscription ("John Dougherty's Book Belfast 1827") on verso of back free endpaper. Bookseller's description of this copy laid in. Boards and endpapers detached from textblock.
