- Summary:
- "Music Memories and Jazz Report was published by Pat Cather but edited by Cather and Paul E. Affeldt. It was a defacto merger of Affeldt’s Jazz Report (Ventura, 1960-1975) with Cather’s Music Memories. As Affeldt notes in his first editorial, his publication faced significant financial difficulties and the merger was an attempt to merge the two related publications. Content continued to focus on record and piano roll collecting, new releases of old jazz, blues, ragtime, and country music. New contributors, most notably Art Hodes, wrote for Music Memories and Jazz Report. Only four issues of this merged title were published. Cather was forced to leave publishing for his other work; Affeldt resumed publication of Jazz Report as before"-- RIPM Jazz.
