La realidad a la que se enfrentan la mayoría de los recicladores en Colombia, es una en la que día a día viven condiciones en las que su oficio los pone en riesgo, y, donde además no cuentan con herramientas conceptuales que les permitan administrar y manejar de la mejor forma su negocio. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, el principal objetivo del presente texto es dar a conocer herramientas teóricas y empíricas que les permitan a los recicladores formalizar su actividad económica y aplicar un modelo de negociación que mejore su bienestar personal y empresarial, aportando a la humanidad a través de la reducción de la contaminación ambiental. A través de la ejecución del proyecto de investigación "Modelo de negociación para los compradores y vendedores de residuos sólidos orgánicos", el cual fue de naturaleza mixta (cualitativa y cuantitativa) de acción participativa; se encontró que los recicladores no manejan sus negocios como emprendimientos, que requieren de herramientas administrativas y unirse a otros recicladores ya que hay asimetrías de poder en el mercado de la compra y venta de residuos para el reciclaje. Through the execution of the research project "Negotiation model for buyers and sellers of organic solid waste" which was of a mixed nature (qualitative and quantitative) of participatory action, it was found that recyclers do not manage their businesses as undertakings that require administrative tools and join other recyclers as there are asymmetries of power in the market for buying and selling recycling.
