- En 1923 Martin Heidegger dejó su puesto de profesor en Friburgo y aceptó la invitación de enseñar en Marburgo. Su llegada supuso el encuentro con Rudolph Bultmann marcando el preludio de un singular diálogo eminentemente productivo. La correspondencia entre Heidegger y Bultmann se extiende a través de un periodo de más de medio siglo. En las cartas, junto a temas de política universitaria y de asuntos personales, se trata una y otra vez del problema fundamental de la relación entre filosofía y teología. Entre las tensiones y los alejamientos que caracterizan la amistad entre ambos, surgen las formas de vida de la fe y las de la filosofía.
