- Summary:
- The 2024 Paris Olympics opened in a most romantic and imaginative style with an unprecedented outdoor Opening Ceremony. However, different conflicts in the real world were also infecting all the arenas throughout the city. From the threat of strikes and terrorist attacks to global geopolitical problems, what kind of harsh reality was the Paris Olympics facing? The doc tells the story of the Paris Olympics featuring several vivid characters, including the Opening Ceremony volunteers and torchbearers, Chinese runners participating in the first ever "Marathon Pour Tous" in Olympic history, Russian athletes in France, a descendant of Pierre de Coubertin, etc. Through deeply human stories of these people, it connects the history of Paris and today's Olympics while showcasing the Paris culture and various Olympic landmarks. We would see how the romantic Parisians used their creativity and imagination to try to overcome unexpected difficulties, and finally presented a "moveable feast" of the Olympics to the world.
